As a Tipperary man I've carried this song around with me wherever I've played. Many is the night I drove by the Galtee Mountains with my Dad and Uncle on the way to and from gigs. Dezi Donnelly's fiddle amplifies the emotion in this song. A fitting tribute "to the men who fought for liberty and died without a sigh."
